McKinley Avis Dyar

I am finally sitting down to update everyone on our new little girl, and so that the family can see some pics of her. We had Kinley on April 9, at 7:41a.m. She was 7 lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long.

Some have asked for the labor update, so if you don't want to hear about it feel free to just scroll down to look at the pictures.

I started getting random contractions at about 6:00 that night which is very different from my other two little ones. They kept going all night, again pretty far apart, we finally called my mother-in-law at 4:00a.m. to come over and stay with the kids. At that point my contractions were about 5-8 minutes apart (Kasen came super fast once I was dilated to a six so I didn't want to chance having this one in the car). We got to the hospital at 4:30, I was dilated to a 5. 5:00 we got settled into our room, ready to start doing our hypno-birth and get in the zone. We realized at that point all of our music and relaxation stuff did not sink to the i-pod! Not cool, I really wanted to do this without drugs and that is all I had practiced. After a bit of a panic, we started to play other music and did our best to do it on our own. Dev and my sis were awesome supporters! It truly was an amazing experience. The next 2 hours were in a complete state of relaxation, I felt as if I was there alone with God and He was coaching me, giving me little whispers the whole time. I kept saying "I can do anything through Christ" He made me to to this. As the contractions got stronger, the more controlled I and calm I felt. Then baby was ready, it was time to push, I didn't need anybody to tell it was time, my body knew it. I woke from my relaxed state and went into business mode. Three pushes later, baby Kinley joined our world. It was truly a blessed and amazing experience! We love her so much already.

Here a a few pics of our first few days.
