Kaya's Glitzy Girl Day Spa Birthday Party
Kaya wanted a spa party this year for her birthday. I had such a good time planning and getting ready for the party. And it was so fun to see these 8 little girls love getting all dolled up and pampered. Quote from one girl "This is the best day of my life". They were so funny!
The flip flops for each girl (they coudn't ruin their toe nails!)

Each girl got a purse, headband and a robe with their name on it when they got there)

The drinks (they thought they were such big girls)

The cake (Kaya requested a Christmas Tree???)

Half of the girls

The "Spa workers"

yay we are all in Colorado!

Toes

Musical Finger Nails

Pedicures (I think they got the idea of being pampered)

Makeup and Facepaint

Making Body Glitter

Hair

Photo Shoot (by far my favorite part of the day, the girls were so cute and loved walking down the runway and posing for the camera)

All 8

Cake

Presents

Such a fun party! We will have a hard time topping this one!! Love my sweet girl, love that she is super girly and love her sweet spirit!!! LOVE HER!

A story about a cake...
Dev and I love making our kids cakes on their birthdays, we try to get really creative and have fun with it... so I thought "Hey lets try and make Tonya's wedding cake!" We learned a great lesson, leave the wedding cakes to the professionals! Here is what happened...
We made a ginormous mess! I started making cakes on Monday, I made a total of 13 cakes. Then we started putting it together on Thursday night and were up until 2:00 a.m. Dev, Deta and I frosted, cut 225 fondant circles and assembled the cake.

Deta

Stacking the cake

Mindy and Kira helping with the final touches

The finished product...I think it turned out beautiful!

Well we left the cake went to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, came home were fairly exhausted (we stayed out til 1:00a.m. Friday night, kareokeing), got ready for bed when I realized Devin was gone, well it turns out this beautiful cake self destructed and fell on the floor at about 6:00 that night. So sad!!!!! Here is the results of the crash...

So after a lot of tears and a lot of options (Trace Brooks thought he might be able to run off with the Wal Mart display) I decided to rally and help Dev, Deta (she had been making cakes all evening, bless her heart) and Dick. My amazing family jumped in the car too... so we had a lot of help, which made it a lot more fun!
Mindy and Kamree

Tina and Trace (he was a circle and diamond cutting extraordinaire)

Kira

Lots and Lots of Circles

Putting on Fondant

Putting the final touches on the final cake

Finished cake #2 (not quite as cool, but it was 3:00a.m and Tonya had a cake to cut at her wedding!)

The debut at the reception

It was quite and experience and will make for a good story, however, I will never do it again! But it was worth it for this beautiful couple!

Tonya and Drew, thank you for smashing the cake in each other's faces, it is just what this cake needed!!!
